From Iron Grills to Mixed Grills

Founded as a restaurant in an old blacksmith’s shop in 1952, The Forge quickly built a reputation for quality steaks and grills.

Sixty years on our menu and facilities are far more extensive but we are still a byword for quality.

In 2012 popular choices on our varied menu include our homemade pies, curries and fish dishes.

Behind the blacksmith’s shop , in our own extensive grounds,we have built 18 en-suite bedrooms in spacious lodges. Residents have unlimited free use of our leisure suite, with its heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and gymn.
